Fowler Martin Ltd is a Chartered Building Services Design Consultancy delivering mechanical, electrical and public health design for complex and specialist environments. Founded in 1986 as Fowler Martin Associates and incorporated in 2003, the practice has grown from a small partnership into a trusted, multidisciplinary consultancy working across education, retail, defence, science, healthcare, commercial and public sector projects.
After 25 years in Chingford, the company relocated in 2011 to larger offices in Ingatestone, Essex, supporting continued expansion and investment in modern engineering tools, digital design and a growing specialist team.
Fowler Martin delivers projects for a wide range of clients, supporting both established portfolios and planned developments across multiple sectors.

1986 • Founded
Fowler Martin is established as Fowler Martin Associates by its two founders, a partnership of building services engineers focused on delivering reliable, client centred MEP design.
2001 • Incorporated
The company becomes Fowler Martin Ltd.
2008 • New Directorship
New Directors are appointed, marking a new era of growth, formalised capability, and an expanding project portfolio across the public and private sectors.
2012 • Relocation & Expansion
Fowler Martin relocates to Ingatestone, Essex, moving into larger offices to support a growing team, modern design tools, and increased project demand.
2011 - 2025 • Continued Evolution
The practice develops into a multidisciplinary consultancy, expanding Client-list and offering further services.
2026 • Celebrating 40 Years
Fowler Martin marks 40 years of engineering excellence, combining decades of proven experience with modern, sustainable, future-ready design.
